AgentKit by Scalekit
MCP gateway that lets AI agents call tools as the user, scoped and logged
Every tool call your agent makes through AgentKit runs under a specific user's credentials and lands in a log, which is the unglamorous plumbing that separates a demo from something you can ship.
The verdict
AgentKit moves the per-user OAuth and permission scoping that usually stalls agents between prototype and production behind a single MCP endpoint, and its free plan is large enough to prove that on a real workload. The open question is track record: independent production reports have not surfaced yet, and the audit-grade controls live on the custom-priced Enterprise tier. Teams whose agents work inside their customers' own SaaS accounts should pilot it now.
- Good for
- SaaS teams with multi-tenant agents; Platform engineers shipping agents; Startups piloting MCP tool access
- Skip it if
- No-code workflow builders; Teams needing SSO without an Enterprise deal
- Costs
- Free tier, paid from $99/mo1

What it does
As AgentKit by Scalekit describes it.1
- One MCP endpoint
- Exposes 600+ connectors and 30,000+ tools to an agent through a single MCP endpoint.
- Managed authentication
- Runs the OAuth flow for you so each call carries the requesting user's credentials.
- Scoped tool access
- Limits each agent job to only the access that job needs.
- Per-call logs
- Writes a log entry for every tool call the agent makes.
- Custom connectors and API proxy
- Lets Growth customers add their own connectors and proxy calls to APIs that have no prebuilt one.
- Bring your own credentials
- Accepts your own app credentials for connectors, listed from the free plan up.
Ways to put it to work
Least-privilege audit · for the platform engineer
Route one internal agent's tool calls through AgentKit for a week, then line up each user's grant against the call logs to see which permissions were actually exercised.
You get: A concrete picture of excess scope before any customer data is involved.
Agents inside client accounts · for the saaS founder whose agents work in customers' boards
Have each customer connect their own Monday or Jira account through the managed auth flow, and let the agent act in those tools under that customer's identity.
You get: Per-customer credentials with no homegrown OAuth layer to build or maintain.
Tier upgrade rule · for the engineering lead budgeting a rollout
Stay on Free while monthly usage fits the allowance; move to Growth when you need custom connectors or EU residency, and open an Enterprise conversation only when a security review names a control Growth lacks.
You get: A spend path tied to real requirements.

Our take: Growth is fairly priced for a startup running one production agent, and the metered overage keeps costs predictable; the sting is paying another $99 for EU residency.
What people say
Too new for a real user verdict: reaction so far is Product Hunt launch comments, with the sharpest one asking whether least-privilege holds up in practice.
Asked how teams can give agents enough capability while keeping prompts focused and access truly least-privilege.
Where it falls short
- No independent production case studies yet; the customer stories available are testimonials on Scalekit's own pricing page.
- SSO, SCIM and custom roles for the Scalekit dashboard are Enterprise-only; Growth gets basic roles.
- Streaming call logs into your SIEM is an Enterprise feature.
- EU data residency is a paid add-on even on Growth.
- Plan names and prices differ across Scalekit's site: one product summary describes a $149/month Pro tier, while the pricing page lists Growth at $99, so confirm before budgeting.
Your first hour
- Create a free account at auth.scalekit.com; no credit card is required.
- Run npx @scalekit-inc/cli setup in your project.
- Connect a first tool account, such as Slack or GitHub, through the managed auth flow.
- Point your agent at the AgentKit MCP endpoint and check the call log after its first request.
If it isn't the fit
Questions
- Do I still have to write OAuth code?
- Managed authentication is the core of the product. In a testimonial on Scalekit's pricing page, RocketBench's founder says the team was in production the day it signed up and never wrote an OAuth handler.
- Can I deploy it inside my own network?
- Scalekit's pricing page lists BYOK, IP allowlisting and VPC or on-prem deployment under Enterprise only. The Free and Growth plans run as Scalekit's hosted service.
- Does the free plan include the full connector catalog?
- Scalekit describes Free as the complete platform, connector catalog included. What it lacks are the custom connectors and dashboard roles that arrive with Growth.
The call
Cheap to trial and aimed at a genuine production headache; the one thing it has not shown yet is a public track record, so let your own pilot supply that.
How we scored it
Four scores out of 10, weighted and added. The weights are the same for every tool.
Capability7.5 × 35% = 2.63
Managed per-user auth and per-call logging behind one MCP endpoint cover what a production agent needs, while the compliance controls sit on higher tiers. What it does
Ease of use7.0 × 20% = 1.40
Free signup with no card and a one-line CLI bootstrap make the first connection quick, but designing sensible scopes is still your team's job. Your first hour
Value7.5 × 25% = 1.88
A usable free allowance and a $99 Growth tier with published overage rates are fair for the category, docked for the extra charge on EU residency. What it costs
Momentum5.5 × 20% = 1.10
Product Hunt ranked AgentKit by Scalekit #1 of the day for November 3rd, 2026, but there is no dated release or funding figure from Scalekit's own record and almost no independent user discussion yet.5
Koda score7.0
