The Cited Brief
Answer one real business question you actually owe someone this month, on one page, where every number links to a source you opened and checked yourself. The pass bar is not the writing: it is that a colleague can click any figure and land on the document that states it, and that you can name one claim you rejected and say why.
  • Pick a live question from your own work with a named audience and a date, for example a vendor recommendation, a competitor pricing read, or a regulation summary your controller has asked for.
  • Write the question as a full brief with instruction, context, input, keywords and output format, and keep both the vague first draft and the rebuilt version.
  • Run it as a Pro Search, then narrow one follow-up to a different source focus, Academic or Finance, and record which shelf gave the better evidence.
  • Call at least one included premium source with @, such as Statista or PitchBook Essentials, and note the base year or as-of date of anything it returns.
  • Build a verification ledger with one row per figure: claim, figure, cited source, primary document, source date, label if any, and status.
  • Climb to the primary document for every figure that carries weight, and mark any figure you could not reach as Unverified with the access gap named.
  • Find one claim that does not survive checking, mark it Rejected, and write two sentences on what the evidence actually showed.
  • Write the one-page brief with a linked source next to every number, then hand it and the ledger to a colleague and ask them to click three figures at random.

Earnings in an Hour
One public company, one hour, one Project. You will assemble an earnings pack the way a covering analyst would: filings and an included premium source for the facts, a Research run for the context, Create files and apps for the deliverable, and a verification ledger that makes every figure traceable. The pass bar is that a colleague can check any number in the pack in under a minute without asking you where it came from.
  • Create a Project for {A_PUBLIC_COMPANY_YOU_FOLLOW} and write instructions that bind the whole workspace: cite every figure to a filing, transcript or named source, write Not disclosed rather than estimating, and never state a number without a link. Set the default mode and model for new sessions in the Project settings.
  • Load the primary documents into Project files: the latest quarterly filing and the earnings release, plus any transcript you have. Note in the Project description which sources you will rely on for market context.
  • Ask three scoped questions inside the Project against a source you name, for example an included premium source through the @ mention or the plus menu under Connectors and sources, and open at least one citation from each answer to confirm the figure appears on the page.
  • Run one Research pass on the quarter: answer the clarifying questions it asks, add one follow-up while it is still running, read the key findings as they appear, then export the report so it is filed alongside the Project.
  • Build the deliverable with Create files and apps in the same Project: a ten slide pack covering the quarter's numbers, three drivers, one risk and an appendix of sources, then export it as PPTX and as PDF and open both files locally.
  • Build the verification ledger as a spreadsheet with one row per figure in the pack: the figure, the source, the exact document and page or transcript timestamp, the date you checked it, and a verdict of verified, unverified or rejected.
  • Find and reject at least one number that does not survive the check. Remove it from the pack and record in the ledger what it claimed, where it came from and why you dropped it.
  • Share the Project with one colleague as a viewer, ask them to pick three figures from the pack at random, and time how long each trace takes using only the ledger.

The Research Desk
Build a research desk a colleague could inherit on a Monday morning and run without you. One Project carries the files, instructions, connectors, memory and method; one scheduled task produces something while nobody is watching; one Model Council decision memo shows the desk handling a judgement call; and a citation ledger proves every number in it. The pass bar is a colleague running one full cycle from your documentation alone.
  • Create the Project for one real recurring responsibility, with instructions that state the citation contract and the output shape, a default mode and a default Computer orchestrator model, and a scoped connector list with connector-specific instructions.
  • Turn Brain on for the Project, record whether it refreshes automatically or manually, then after a week open the Brain tab, trace three entries back to their source, and correct or delete at least one.
  • Build one Skill that encodes your method, uploaded as a SKILL.md with YAML frontmatter so it lives under version control, and prove it activates from a phrase in its own description rather than from a manual selection.
  • Run one Deep Research task inside the Project that produces both the analysis and a finished artifact in the same session, then audit five inline citations by opening them.
  • Convene one Model Council on the hardest judgement in this workstream, asking each model for its assumptions and confidence, and write a decision memo that states the recommendation, the disagreements, and what would change your mind.
  • Create one scheduled task that runs unattended at a cadence of once a week or less often, verify its next run time on the Computer dashboard, and let it complete one cycle untouched.
  • Attach a citation ledger to every deliverable the desk produced, with figure, source URL, source date, tier and the name of the person who opened the source, and delete or rewrite any row the source did not support.
  • Measure the money: record the credits spent per task from each thread's Usage dropdown, total the cycle, and write the standing rule for when this desk may convene a full council or raise the cadence.
  • Write the runbook naming the owner, the schedule, the credit cost per cycle, the failure signs from the module 14 triage gates, and the routing rule for work that belongs in a sibling dojo at koda.community/dojo/.
  • Hand the Project and the runbook to one colleague and have them complete one full cycle without asking you a question, then log every point where they were stuck and fix the documentation.
